The Beautiful Namsangol Hanok Village in Seoul

The Namsangol Hanok Village 남산골 한옥마을 in Seoul, South Korea has beautiful old "hanok" buildings and gardens.  Hanok is a traditional Korean building.

Namsangol Hanok Village is in the heart of Seoul, right at the foot of Namsan (the Southern Mountain).   It's surrounded by forested hills and a short stroll from the busy streets of the Chungmuro neighborhood. The Namsangol Hanok Village has a lovely peaceful feeling but can get quite busy with tourists and tourist buses, so it can be good to arrive earlier in the day or on a weekday.

A lot of activites are on at the Namsangol Hanok Village and you can play traditional Korean games or watch a Korean traditional wedding.   This month and next there will be concerts on every Wednesday at the Gugakdang Madang near the middle of the park. The Fall concerts are on from the 9th of September until the 28th of October every Wednesday during lunch time (12:20-12:50pm).
