“Ballarat - Art Nouveau Black Swan” - by local artist, Jarrod Hall.
The design is inspired by the Art Nouveau design movement of the early 20th century and by the beautiful Lake Wendouree in the heart of Ballarat.
The artwork features:
black swan (Cygnus atratus)
sundews, a small carnivorous plant in the drosera genera.
pink-bells (Tetratheca thymifolia)
messmate stringybark (Eucalyptus obliqua)
All of which can be found in the parks of the Ballarat region, if you visit and go for a wander!
The space beneath the swan showcases Ballarat’s two famous peaks, Mount Warrenheip and Mount Buninyong.
